Noted filmmaker EVV Satyanarayana (55) died of heart attack on Friday. He has been suffering from blood cancer for the last few years and was admitted to the Apollo Hospital a couple of days back. His full name is Edara Veera Venkata Satyanarayana. Known for his comedy films, EVV was born on June 10, 1956, in a village called Dommeru in the district of West Godavari. He is survived by his wife and two sons, Rajesh and Naresh.
He started his film career as an assistant director to 'Hasya Brahma' Jandhyala. Chevilo Puvvu was his first film as a director. However, his first hit was Prema Khaidi, produced by D. Ramanaidu. His last film was Kathi Kantha Rao, which released in December 10 last year. He also directed a Hindi film Sooryavansham in 1999 starring Amitabh Bachchan and Soundarya. May his soul rest in peace.
